ReliaCHEK is designed to verify the status of the checking account being utilized to make the payment.

ReliaCHEK instantly establishes a direct connection to the payer’s financial institution in order to determine the condition of the account. Merlin can verify a variety of factors relative to the validity of the payment and its probability for success; the account is in the name of the payer and the account number provided is valid and correct, the account has available funds, is not closed nor overdrawn and has no NSF checks outstanding, is a demand account qualified to accept an ACH debit, has no recent stop payment order issued against it and more.

ReliaCHEK takes all available factors into account as part of the authorization process and generates a confidence score for each transaction. The Teledraft Client in concert with Teledraft’s Risk Management Specialists can then configure the Merlin Query System to accept or reject a transaction based upon a score acceptable to the Client and appropriate for their typical sale, market dynamics and the nature of their customer.
